A little more about Jeremiah

We've had him for a little bit now and have a pretty good handle on his personality

1. He's only had 1 accident in the house on his second day with us. At this point I would say he's officially the most potty trained iggy ever! He's never even tried to mark in the house or at the vet, which is very appreciated.

2. He's very dog friendly with really good submissive doggy manners. He rivals the perfect dog language of the greyhounds who grow up in pairs/packs.

3. He knows when the greyhounds start doing zoomies in the back yard to get to the fence/corners for safety. He is not a stupid little guy!

4. He knows who he can cuddle with and who he cannot. He's never tried to cuddle with Rainy, who would most likely try to eat him for his efforts. He will gladly cuddle with Sunshine who tolerates him much better.

5. He does not steal cookies from other dogs. If one of the other dogs is laying down eating a cookie or chewy bone, he has no interest. Doesn't hover, doesn't approach them, doesn't even think about the possibility that he could ever have their yummies.

6. He likes to play with soft squeaky stuffies. Hasn't destroyed any of them yet

7. Will growl if another dog approaches when he is eating his supper or drinking. Hasn't done it with cookies at all. Has to have a food bowl there to cause this reaction. A verbal correction reminds him to play nice and he goes back to minding his manners. I think this will go away in a few months as he settles into a new home.

8. He does not like his nails dremeled, but will tolerate it if you insist. He likes to hide his face under a pillow while it's happening so he doesn't have to watch the horror!

9. He's pretty good about getting a bath

10. Very good about getting his ears cleaned out. Not happy about it, but he hods still easier than the greyhounds do!

11. Not high energy. He really is cute when he prances and hops around, but it only lasts briefly. The rest of the time he is content to cuddle up on the couch and sleep in his covers for hours and hours and hours.

12. Zero space issues. You can poke at him while he's sleeping and he's happy as a clam with no negative reaction

13. He is still mystified with the kitties. He and my scaredy cat have a game going on. He chases the cat and when the cat is cornered he runs away crying because the cat launches himself at poor Jeremiah. The cat isn't really scared or bothered by this though... he teases Jeremiah and paces in front of him in the living room to entice him into a chase. Usually this cat hides with new dogs. Jeremiah does not chase the super evil cat we have. So he's pretty smart and I would label him kitty safe. He listens when the cats correct him, even with a glare.

14. Walks great on a leash/collar/or harness

15. Loves to wear warm clothes. He bounces up to get his warm snugly jammies on

16. No issues peeing in the rain. He will go out to potty like a normal dog and even if it's cold out he will sometimes wander into the back of the yard sniffing all by himself after the other dogs have gone inside! He's no wussy pup!

17. Loves to be snuggled right up next to you but if your not sitting on the couch he will settle for a pillow and his blankie.

18. 100% crate trained. He stays in a large 36" crate while we are at work, with the radio on. He actually runs in there himself waiting for his breakfast in the morning.  Considering he's got a dog bed and half a dozen fleece blankets in there I want to go in too!

19. He's a pup who will make anyone smile with his silliness, but also very well behaved. He just blends right into the existing pack and picks up on the routines.

20. Everyone falls in love with him :) and he likes to show off for the camera.
